Girls on Track Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
The Kaufman County Girls on the Run teams at Phillips Elementary honored their campus and principals at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new track around the playground, which was installed during Spring Break. The ceremony took place on Thursday, April 12, 2012. The girls put together "thank you" baskets for Mrs. Crouch and Mr. Stodghill, and had a reception in the cafeteria. Rhonda Carter, director of the Kaufman County Girls on the Run Council, cut the ribbon and the girls ran a commemorative lap around the new track with Mr. Stodghill and Dr. Williams.
